Discover with Dynamo

Medtronic Neurovascular

DBS technology can be daunting especially for children and families facing dystonia. Medtronic needed a fresh way to educate and build awareness about its latest Percept RC device. The message had to be simple, relatable, and spark hope — especially during Dystonia Awareness Month. Plus, it needed to work sensitively across both permissive and restrictive markets.

Our approach

We created Dynamo, a relatable dinosaur mascot with a warm, conversational voice that breaks down complex DBS technology into a child-friendly story. Dynamo’s journey - riding his bike, facing dystonia and finding help with DBS - connects emotionally and demystifies treatment. This character became the heart of a multi-format campaign, connecting technical innovation to real feelings, helping families feel seen and supported.

How we gave families a new story

Let’s talk about paediatric dystonia, not with jargon but with imagination.

A wobbly bike ride. A sudden fall. A question echoes: what’s happening to me? Then comes Dynamo. Not just a mascot, he’s a friend, Helping children find their balance again. Because sometimes, tiny device can mean giant hope for a child with dystonia.

Dynamo reminds us all:
Dystonia isn’t the end – it’s just the beginning of a new story.

What we delivered

  • Dynamo mascot story and dialogue-driven scripts

  • Static ads, flyers and infographics tailored for families

  • Educational toolkit with PPT, banners and colouring pages

  • Social media assets for awareness campaigns targeting permissive countries

  • Print and digital materials supporting employee engagement and outreach

Although graphic design is my main role, I really enjoyed working on this project because illustration is something I genuinely love. The subject matter meant a lot to me, and I feel proud knowing that my drawings are contributing to such an important cause.
